The making of Huopaliike Lahtinen Finnish felt slippers and boots is an ancient art that came originally from Russian artisans. Established in 1921 by Alex Lahtinen, production began in a very small sauna house. Made from 100% wool, the slippers begin life at twice their final size and then fulled, or shrunk, onto lasts using steam. Available also as boots and shoes, these diagonally cut mules are perhaps more suited to everyday life.
Please note: We recommend that you choose a size smaller than your normal size. The red slippers have a high back, where as the grey and plum have a lower slip-on style back.
